1000W WATT Wind Turbine Generator Grid Tie Inverter 3 Phase 22-60V to AC110V
Due to the low wind area I live in, this has less than an hour of “load” time. So here is the story: This is basically brand new. It was lightly used on my wind turbine. I now want to go solar instead, so here is your opportunity to get a good deal. It works great and there is nothing wrong with it. What I did was hook a 600 and a 1000W together so when during high winds. The 600 would kick off and the 1000W would take over. Question: Please elaborate the “kick off” part. The alternator/generator of your turbine will make power – regardless. It is all about harnessing that. Power and protecting the turbine from itself when you cannot. Lets say you have an alternator that. Makes power from 0V to 100V. You can either harness that entire spectrum, or dump it into a dump. Load when you cannot. I had a dual PMA that essentially produced a maximum of 2x1000W. The 600W inverters harnessed 10.8V. To 30V and then switched to dump the load. I did not have it connected to a dump load here yet. Because when the power reached over 30V I also connected the 1000W which harnessed 22V-60V. What would happen is instead of dumping the load at the 600W inverters, the 600W inverter would. Switch off because it was over powered and trying to dump the load and then at that time the 1000W. Inverters were absorbing and “converter-ing” see what I did there? -P the power production of the. I had the 1000W inverters connected to a dump load in case the power production ever. I essentially would have liked to have had some 1500W inverters too and dumped the. Load after that and I would have had a voltage spectrum coverage from 10.8V all the way up to 90V. All you do is jump-connect all the. Inputs together on the turbine side of inverter starting at the direct input connect on the 600W from. The 1500W inverter into a dump load. 600 jumped to the 1000W up to the 1500W if you so desire. Long story short, by connecting all of them together, you make a “single” “inverter” that works from. 10.8V to 90V. I hope this makes sense, I tried my best to simplify it. Yes it worked great! Not broken and they work perfectly fine. I just want to do solar instead now. Revision: 1/26/2016 – I made a mistake with the description, it is 3 phase to DC. Also, I copied the wrong photo and have fixed that as well. Furthermore, as to me living in a low wind area, these 1000W inverters have less than an hour of load time on them! This 1000W micro grid tie inverter is designed specially for small wind energy system. This inverter can directly connect wind charger through inverter to home grid. This inverter has been built in dump load controller, it can maintain the rotating speed of the wind turbine and keep the voltage from the wind turbine always at the range of the rated range of the grid tie inverter. It also has a high voltage protection function, when the wind is too strong, and the dump load controlling system can not keep the output voltage from the wind turbine, the controller will disconnect itself from the wind turbine, so it is very safe to be used. Features MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) allowing each Wind turbine to run at optimum output. Connect Wind Turbines DC supply cables to the DC input terminal of the inverter, be sure that the polarity is correct. Recommended DC input cable size for maximum output is 8AWG or cables that can handle more than 30A. Optimal length would be less than 8m , longer cables will experience higher voltage drop. The range of output power of wind generator is 20W1000W. Connect the supplied AC power cord to the inverter and plug it to a home wall socket. The 3 green LED indicators will start to cycle from left to right when the grid and DC supply is detected. This indicates the inverter is operating under normal condition. The rate of the cycling is according to how much power is being output from the solar panels or the wind turbine. The more big output power is, the more fast the rate is. If there is no AC grid detected, the red LED will be on, the inverter will not put out power, this is called Island Protection.
