Celebrate independence from power bills with this SMA Sunny Boy SB7.0-1SP-US-41 7kW string inverter! Featuring legendary reliability, excellent efficiency, and one of the best names available in solar, if you’re looking for a powerful string inverter, this is it! This inverter is factory-refurbished by SMA, straight from the company, in an original box. It was sent to me as a replacement by SMA for an inverter that was damaged due to an installation problem. Note: I had originally listed this as a NEW inverter, but it seems that further investigation yielded that this may be a refurb. The main power unit and PCB looks completely new, but its manufacture date is in 2019, which leads me to believe it may possibly be a refurbished unit. The lid on the power unit is completely new, and the bottom cover with display is in pristine condition, as it was stored indoors at all times. The condition of all the relevant items really does look new. This inverter can handle three strings, up to 600V DC each, at up to 10A each. It supports the SunSpec module-level rapid shutdown specification. It also works with older DC disconnects, or without any shutdowns at all – it is easily configurable. This is a single phase inverter, which puts out two (both) 120V mains legs (240V inverter). Thus, the AC outputs are L1, N, L2. Hipping is free, via UPS Ground. Some of those parts are not shown in the images – they come from the new parts bag that I received with the new US-41 that I had bought before receiving this unit from SMA. If you’re considering either a professional, DIY, or replacement solar project, and string-based configurations work well in your installation location, you can’t get a better inverter. I’ve produced over 20 MWh of power in 2 years with a pair of SMA inverters, and they are absolutely fantastic. If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be happy to answer them!
