Grid tie inverter switching controller. This controller can switch two different voltage grid tie inverters to get maximum wind power. Use a 250w GTI for low wind and 1000W 22-60GTI for higher winds. This controller can be set for switching from 0-90vdc by the user. It can also be used to switch from a battery bank to a grid tie inverter as well. Needs a constant 12vdc to operate. It has two real time meters that show AC and DC production. Amps, watts, voltage and Kwh. They each update ever second A Red led indicator light for switching activation. AC fuse 15a , DC fuse 1a for internal controls, and 1 duplex AC outlet to plug up to (2) grid ties into. Terminals for AC 120v input, 12vdc input, GTI DC input. 30 A rated terminals. Ties right off your wind turbine rectifier. Recommended 20amp 120vac hard wire dedicated circuit. Includes an 80amp 3 phase rectifier. The box is made of ABS plastic for light weight mounting and cost effective but rigid. The controller is rated for 30amps at 60 vdc. I have tested (2) types on this system. It will also allow your components to run cooler since it allows a higher voltage GTI to work in conjunction with the system. Higher voltage and less amps equals less heat and more power to harvest. This is a one of kind controller made in the USA. How it works: Set voltage dial from 0-90 v to switch between GTI’S. So lets say at 18v your system will switch from a 10-20vdc gti to a 22’60vdc GTI. This may happen at a 10mph wind. You will have to set up your switching peramiters according to wind speed vs volts. Once above the 18v the 10-30 GTI gets disconnected and allows the bigger GTI to take all the turbine power. Under 18v the 10-30 gti will reconnect. The main 22-60v GTI is always connected and the dump coil is connected to this GTI only. For a battery bank you must use a blocking diode so GTI does not take power from the battery bank. Set the voltage switch to your float voltage of lets say 14.1. The controller will disconnect the battery and send power only to the 22-60v GTI. Only two gti’s can be used. For a battery bank use a 12 or 24v bank The best efficiency system is a 24v ac output wind turbine at a 1000w with a 250w 10-30vdc input and a 22-60vdc input with the manufacture dump load resistor connected only to the 22-60v GtI For battery use a 12 v battery system replace the 250w10-30vdc GTI with the pos and neg from the batteries.
