Dump load controller made in the US for micro wind turbines. Made by a wind turbine installer. Features a 0-90vdc input to trigger an external 100 amp relay. The system must have a constant 12vdc to operate. Digital volt meter reads the turbine voltage. Rated at 100 vdc. No external power needed for the volt meter to work. LED indicator lights on the board for on/off operation. Rated for indoor use only. SSR’s burn out so i went with reliable mechanical relays. Most parts can be bought locally. Comes fully wired with 60 amp wiring. Only break to service the turbine, not in the middle of mid to high winds. Ties in parallel to your existing rectifier. Use it for dc switching dump loads or grid tie inverters or battery banks. Adds protection to your system. Hooking this system up in parallel to your existing wind turbine rectifier will not drain your battery bank as other dump load controllers do. This can also be used to switch grid tie inverters from battery to grid tie or from a lower grid tie inverter to a higher voltage grid tie inverter. The higher the voltage you dump the less amps you will be dumping. So a 1000w 48v wind turbine will need a dump load coil to handle a 1000w 48vdc wind turbine would calculate to the battery voltage of 52 battery volts divd. By 1000 w =19.2 amps. For a dump coil, even it out to 25 amps. The lower voltage you dump at the higher the amps are, as you can see below. 14 vdc x 60 amps = 840 watts (12 vdc battery system). 28 vdc x 60 amps = 1,680 watts (24 vdc battery system). 52 vdc x 60 amps = 3,120 watts 48 vdc battery system. Relay 12v coil 100 amp Dump load 60 amp max Volt meter 0-100vdc. Activates at 4 vdc for display Controller. 12Vdc power to remain on 0-90Vdc input to trigger external relay can be custom set with an external volt meter 1/10 scale. 5.1 v = 51 volt trigger ect. 3 dip switches for delay dumping 5 sec. Instant on off with no dip switches activated. I recommend at least one dip switch be turned on so the relay is not going on and off as much. That wears on the main relay. Normally open and normally closed options by using the built in switch Fuse protection. Dump coil not included. 80 amp rectifier with heat sink 60 amp wiring stranded AWG. 1/2 backer board with sheet metal cover for easy mounting components. Large 60 amp lugs for wire termination to dump coil or other device. All 60 amp lugs rated for Copper or Alumin. System activated uses 2 watts at time of switching. Do not input more then 90vdc in to the controller. This will destroy it. We will decide if a repair or replacement is needed. Must be in originol packaging.
